Educational cartography is interpreted as the main component of geographic education. The way of evolution and establishment of cartography as science on the territory of Ukraine, from the beginnings to modern times is reflected. Disadvantages and issues of educational cartography due to the peculiarities of technological advancement in modern society, as well as the need to reconsider instruction methods are highlighted. Direct links of educational cartography with a variety of fundamentals are shown, especially with those of production industry, through the possibility of implementing methodological and practical developments via their publishments.
