The paper is devoted to research of methane seasonal dynamics in Earth’s atmosphere. The detailed analysis of the geographical distribution of methane on the planet and its seasonal variations was conducted using ground-based observations data. On the base of obtained results the attempts to identify features of methane seasonal dynamics depending on the sources of its penetration into the atmosphere in different regions was done.
