The main logistics operations in Ukraine, their types, goals and objectives are investigated. Classification of cartographic sources for the needs of logistics and companies, which are users of them is accomplished. The survey of software designed for routing international and domestic transportation routes is made. The functionality of electronic maps and GIS for logistics is described. Contradictions in the appropriate use of these products are revealed. The list of Internet sources with available maps used for the purposes of logistics is contained. The analysis of the Ukrainian market maps for logistics is provided. The necessity and importance of development of specialized logistic maps is proved. Their basic content for different types of transportation is gived.
